In summer, as well as in winter, the private, spacious Beloved Pets Lodge of the Katschberg Lodge offers enough space for master and dog. Right outside the front door you can start into numerous, dog-friendly hikes around the Katschberg and in winter you can experience glittering white snow blankets while walking along the slopes.

To make your vacation as pleasant as possible for you and your beloved four-legged friend, a few dog goodies await you upon arrival. However, basic equipment such as food bowl, food and leash should be packed privately so that the wet noses are well taken care of.

Rules of conduct for your paw friend & you
In order to make the vacation with dog on the Katschberg as pleasant as possible for everyone involved, we ask you and your darling to observe the following rules of conduct:
Sleeping place: please do not let your dog sleep on the couch or in the bed.
Poop bag: Help to keep the Katschberg clean and remember to always carry a poop bag with you
Grazing animals: Do not get too close to grazing animals with your dog and always leash your furry nose near cows and horses.
Chairlift: Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the Aineckbahn.
Restaurant: If you would like to visit a restaurant on the Katschberg, simply ask a member of staff if you can take your dog with you.
What must be considered when entering Austria with a dog?
It is best to contact your veterinarian before you start your trip to clarify any documents or vaccinations that may be required. When crossing the border, you should have a valid EU pet passport and a valid rabies vaccination. During your stay in Austria, depending on the municipality, a leash and muzzle must also be carried and put on if necessary. Furthermore, we recommend a dog liability insurance and a first aid package for all cases.

Pritzhütte for cozy fur noses: Would you like to take a relaxing hike with your paw partner? Then the family hike to the Pritzhütte is just right for you. The hike takes about 2 hours and with a length of 2km this hiking trail is perfect to enjoy the nature on the Katschberg in a relaxed way.
Great Katschbergrunde for faithful companions: You will certainly experience magical moments on the great Katschbergrunde across the Gon valley. On the 9.3 km long trail you can experience the enchanting Herzerlweg and many other beautiful mountain moments with your four-legged companion.
Aineck for hiking pooches: All endurance athletes are in good hands on the circular hike around the Aineck. With a length of 13.6 km and an approximate duration of 3-4 hours, you can train your endurance and get a breath of fresh mountain air.
Water adventure trail for water rats: For the necessary cooling off in summer, the Bacherlebnisweg Pöllatal is ideally suited. Only a few minutes by car from the Katschberg, the designated nature trail can already be walked. The route is 10 km and is a real highlight for your vacation with numerous display boards about the water and nature world.
